Responsibilities:
• Assist with identifying key accounting issues, report on results and key findings.
• Ability to identify any errors that would affect earnings either positively or negatively.
• Adequate knowledge of GAAP/GAAS - must be able to Evaluate quality of revenues and earnings, and bridging profits to cash, assessing balance sheet exposures and contingencies.
• Evaluating historical financial performance, including sustainable earnings working capital as well as assisting with creating financial projections focusing on major assumptions and comparisons to historical results
• Monthly and quarterly reporting and provide best practices; ensures timely completing of reporting requirements
• Analyzing and tracking the monthly financial results.
• Accumulate data re budgeting, forecasting and some strategic planning
• Assisting with reconciliation of statements and budget preparation
• Perform variance analysis on firm functions (purchasing, operations) and data extraction all types of accounting systems like Quick Books, Great Plains, Navision, and so on. Ability to sort data and analyze it.
• Assisting with writing detailed reports and analysis. Must be comfortable with report writing of different size and nature of reports.
• Providing business analysis and decision support to transaction advisory services and other departments to aid them in decision making, as required
• Adhoc reports and projects
• Other responsibilities as may be required from time to time
Candidate will have:
• CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, MBA Finance
• Public Accounting experience within a Transactions/Due Diligence Group is a strong asset
• Excellent Excel skills
• Strong report writing and data extraction skills.
