This individual will report directly to the National Learning and Development Director and will be responsible for providing first level technical, administrative and coordination support to ensure the effective implementation and management of assigned activities and deliverables relating to the LMS (LearnCentre). This is a contract position for minimum 6 months to be reviewed at the end of the contract.
This position requires strong technical, communication, and analytical skills. The successful candidate must be a team player who can work independently with minimal supervision, have proven experience in training systems administration, be proactive and have proven experience (2-5 years) in a similar position.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
· Manage activities relating to the implementation and administration of a LMS including:
o Implementation and roll-out of the system
o Registering new course requests
o Setting up course templates
o Publishing, testing and maintaining content, session and course catalogue structure
o Assigning security through the use of access rights, user groups and roles
o Posting learning content/objects to a catalogue
o Managing course rosters as required to support batch registration, or exception registration of participants onto courses
o Setting up of evaluations and surveys in content
o Maintaining information in LMS including registrations, cancellations and other amendments to classes, courses and materials
o Providing technical support for end users of the LMS
o Understanding, recommending, managing and distribution LMS reports
· Liaise with the LMS vendor/host regarding system maintenance/data integrity activities including system audits, annual system data cleanups, and manual user profile/learning history updates
· Understand, manage and recommend standards for the LMS including naming conventions, content management, reporting, user administration, event administration, workflow and related processes.
· Liaise with National IT, subject matter experts and other internal clients to ensure effective support of the LMS.
Skills & Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years experience in training systems administration, including software technical support and training content management
· Understanding the various training delivery approaches, including the asynchronous, synchronous and classroom
· Experienced with training standards and e-learning software
· Experienced in implementing a Learning Management System would be an asset
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
· Solutions oriented with strong issues management skills

· University / College graduate in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred
