Manager, Technology Audit performs or assists in performing technical operational audits across all units of the Company, and provides technical advice to the Department and IT and Engineering business unit Management. The position reports to the Sr Mgr, Technology Audit. The incumbent acts as team member for workshops and audits, or conducts audits working alone, or may provide supervision of audits as in-charge auditor.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Conducting pre-audit and pre-workshop surveys;
· Identifying objectives for the process, system or department being evaluated;
· Assessing risk and assisting with risk assessment workshops;
· Documenting and analyzing processes;
· Reviewing policies and procedures;
· Planning audits, preparing engagement memoranda and detailed audit programs;
· Identifying causes and contributing factors relating to problems in effectiveness, efficiency and control;
· Using proper techniques for data gathering, documentation and analysis;
· Making practical and value adding solutions to problems;
· Preparing draft audit reports detailing observations, risks and recommendations;
· Supporting all findings in properly organized work papers;
· Reviewing work papers with the Senior Manager and/or Director;
· Leading/participating in update and closing meetings with senior management; and
· Identifying areas for future evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Undergraduate degree and demonstrated ability as an IT Auditor for several years.
· Strong sense of how technology supports the achievement of business objectives.
· Working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies, Windows 2Kx, Oracle (or other relational database) and UNIX.
· Familiarity with CobiT Control guidelines.
· Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
· General knowledge of technology management disciplines including change and problem management, physical and logical security and ensuring continuous availability.
· Enthusiastic, highly motivated, able to work independently yet be a team player.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritise workflow and work under pressure.
· Superior organisational, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills.
· Ability to interact confidently with Senior Management.
