Electronic Trading Services Group Manager - Global Equity Technology
The Global Equities Technology Group is seeking a Group Manager for the Electronic Trading Services team. The group manages and enhances the systems that provide electronic connectivity to our external clients, primarily in the DMA (direct market access), Portfolio Trading, and Algorithmic trading space. This is a fast paced business with frequently changing needs and requirements.
Details of Job Description:
. Lead a team of 15-20 people across multiple geographies, consisting
of developers, FIX certification analysts, and FIX integration analysts ensuring we continue to provide unparalleled service to our external and internal clients
. Provide regular status updates to our senior business partners
(Managing Director level), and ensure the direction of the business is understood by all members of the team
. Provides oversight and leadership on projects taking place within
the Electronic Trading space
. Document procedures and processes that the team members can follow
to ensure consistent service
. Overall responsibility for certifying all new FIX clients and
ensuring a successful hand off to production support
. Provide guidance on FIX standards
. Gather and analyze client requirements, and translate them into
specifications for consumption by the development team
. Overhaul and maintain the FIX Rules of Engagement document that
provides guidance to new clients on COMPANY's implementation of the FIX protocol Preferred Professional and Tech Skills
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. 8+ years experience in a similar hybrid technical/business,
pre-sales role
. Management experience is essential
. FIX Protocol knowledge would be ideal, but a good understanding of
Equity Order flow would be acceptable
. Unix/Solaris systems experience is preferred
. Basic Networking and Routing knowledge
. Post secondary education ideally specializing in Business or
Computer Sciences
. Completion of Canadian Securities Course is an asset
