Our National IT Department, located in downtown Toronto, is looking for a Senior IT Systems Specialist with particular experience and expertise in the area of Human Resource systems. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the data structures, processes and interrelationships between the various core HR, payroll, benefits, and other component HR systems. This HR Systems Specialist will play an integral role in the design, development and modification of Human Resource applications, functions and processes at the firm.
Responsibilities include:
Review current systems and the integration between them
Assess Firm, user and HR department requirements
Evaluate software and system alternatives to meet those needs, and manage selection process.
Implement and properly transition to any new system components, ensuring ongoing integrity and confidentiality of data
Work closely with development group on the design, programming and maintenance of any
internally created components or links to other systems.
Work with National HR on the development of procedures for the proper input and maintenance of systems.
Staff and organize support team to ensure proper coverage of key responsibilities.
Ensure proper documentation of system and processes.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a related field; Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Solid general IT system knowledge and experience.
Minimum three to four years hands-on HRIS system support experience.
Proactive/ self-starter: capable of taking the initiative to identify problems and evaluate solutions.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. simultaneously.
Able to work well under pressure and to respond to deadlines.
High attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
