The Role of the Senior Manager / Manager
Due to the continued growth of our Transfer Pricing practice, we have an immediate opening for a new Senior Manager or a seasoned Manager within our Toronto tax practice. Your leadership role as a key member of our team will be focusing on engagement management and planning across a wide variety of industries.
As a highly motivated professional, your accountabilities will include:
- Demonstrating an expert-level understanding of transfer pricing concepts and current practice
- Project planning and engagement management
- Managing client relationships and expectations
- Developing and delivering effective client focused strategies
- Interacting and communicating effectively with clients across Canada, and colleagues around the world
- Gathering factual information from client meetings
- Report, letter, memo and proposal drafting and review
- Advising clients on compliance, planning and controversy matters
- Coaching our staff and playing an active role in professional development
- Reviewing the work of staff and colleagues
- Assisting in the resolution of tax authority transfer pricing audits
- Assisting clients with Competent Authority matters
- Playing an active role in the implementation of our recommendations
- Making presentations to colleagues, clients and other groups
- Identifying and supporting practice development initiatives (i.e. new business opportunities, etc)
Requirements The ideal candidate should have the following:
5 to 8 years of experience working in the transfer pricing area within a professional services firm, or a combination of CRA and professional services experience
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, business, accounting, finance or law
Proven analytical, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting
Experience managing a small team is a strong asset
A designation (CA or CGA) will be considered an asset, but not a requirement
