The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be the "technical system owner" for all GIS Risk Company applications supported by Corporate Systems. This includes current applications: ARC, LDRPS, PSync and Voltage; and these new applications: WebSense, Identity Company, and Records Company. The purpose of the role is twofold:
1) Day1 project activities lead by GIS Risk Company
2) Ensure the Day2 operational and administrative activities are executed as expected.

The workload in these disciplines is growing and the candidate must be able to 1) build scalable processes so that more work can be done and 2) recognize when this is impossible and identify solutions to handling growing workload. The candidate is expected to be hands-on - identifying activities that should be added to the project based on their experience, and strategic - speaking up when they see the project is at risk of not ultimately delivering the required business function.
10. The Business Analyst will execute activities assigned to them by GIS Risk Company as part of the project.
Additional information:
Global Information Systems Risk Company (GIS-RM): is responsible for identifying needs, requirements and performing "Day 1 development" for applications supporting their business function.
Corporate Systems: is responsible for providing "Day 2 support" to Global Information Systems Risk Company (GIS-RM) - this means day-to-day support and administration of applications owned by GIS-Risk Company, much the same way that Corporate systems provides support to other customers, for example, Reinsurance or HR. Corporate Systems supplies a customer relationship company (CRM) role, executed by the AVP, Corporate Systems, and also fills the support and administration roles. It is these latter roles (support and administration) that require a new Business Analyst position to be created.
The scope of this role is very broad and includes contact with all divisions of Manulife on a global basis. The customer of the application (GIS-RM) is based in Toronto, and the users are spread globally.
