This is a new Software Application Development Manager (SDM) position. The SDM will lead four developers and three business analysts in doing development work and providing maintenance plus support for the following areas:
- Equity Research - an in-house developed .net application for a customer equity research portal site CM Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
for equity institutional customers
- BD Vision from Ipreo is used
- Equity Division Commission management - an in-house developed system by the name of EDCOMMS which takes care of commissions for all Canadian institutional trades done in Canada, US, and other international trading houses
Capital Market (CM) Finance applications - This includes vendor systems such as CODA and Hyperion
-The SDM will be reporting directly to Director, under the umbrella of Corporate Technology Development -Capital Markets, an IT department which has over-achieved this year. All candidates should have at least 2 years of development manager experience and should be fully familiar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Project Management process, people management, good leadership skills, and software development technologies such as Oracle, Java, C#, and/or web middleware's. IT management experience in finance industry, especially in the equity business area, will be preferred but not mandatory.
