Description:
Team provides technology solutions and support for trading, sales and
operations. The user community spans across regional offices in Canada, New
York, London and Sydney. We operate and maintain a number of large-scale
enterprise applications, which run 24 hours a day, six days a week. Our

The Role:
The Developer will report to the Manager of Global Debt Market Systems. In
this role, the candidate will:
. Gain in depth domain knowledge of the debt markets business.
. Execute tasks on time, while stressing high quality deliverables
. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle,
including requirements gathering, functional specification, design,
development, testing and documentation
. Provide technical leadership to less experienced members of the
team.

Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
discipline required
. In depth knowledge of the debt markets business would be an asset
. Minimum 2 years professional experience in a trading environment
. Minimum 5 years software development experience
. Exceptional Java knowledge specifically in the areas of Java Swing &
Enterprise Java Beans
. Experience using and maintaining Web Logic Servers
. Proficiency in databases (e.g. Sybase or Oracle)
. Message-based (Tibco RV, MQ) programming a plus
. UNIX and NT administration experience is advantageous
. Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging
environment
. The position calls for 80% software development/maintenance and 20%
technical trade support, the group maintains and develops software for a
trading desk.

. Strong PC software skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft
Office Products
. Good research and analytical skills
. Must be highly responsive to time critical support issues
. A team player, yet have the ability to work independently and take
personal initiatives
