Legal/Administrative Assistants (Junior Level)
Legal Administrative Assistants / Legal Assistants provide a valuable service to our lawyers. Here are typical duties and responsibilities:
■ Daily correspondence, document preparation, dicta-typing, drafting and filing court documents;
■ File preparation and management;
■ Maintenance of established filing systems, including correspondence, reports, records, confidential files and B/F files and/or systems;
■ Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers and clients on file progress;
■ General administrative duties including entering timesheets and coordinating billing cycle.
We look for candidates who have formal Legal Administrative Assistant/Legal Assistant training and one year experience in a similar role. Ideal candidates have strong client service, time management, communication, and problem solving skills. We also seek candidates with strong computer skills, who are familiar with various legal precedents and procedures, who can interpret instructions and prepare required documentation, and who are accurate and detail oriented.
