Legal Document Specialist (FULL TIME)

Hours: Monday to Friday 4p.m. - 11:00p.m. (must be able to work 3 shifts)
Saturday 10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Sunday 1:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.

We have an opportunity for a full-time Legal Assistant in our Document Services Group (DSG). The ideal candidate will provide quality legal services to clients by providing secretarial and administrative support. This position requires discretion, organization and independent judgment.
∑ Processing Documents. Using the firmís word processing and document management software, processes and prepares correspondence, memoranda and legal documents as directed by the practice group which includes, but is not limited to, proofreading and checking documents for appropriate formatting, spelling, grammar (read for sense), revisions, document comparisons.
∑ Quality Control. Assistants are expected to ensure the quality and accuracy of their work, and seek clarification when necessary.
∑ Teamwork. Works proactively as a member of the document services group by demonstrating effective teamwork and providing assistance to other members of the team, including mentorship when required.
A college certificate/degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Legal Assistant is required.
Strong proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (Word (including numbering styles, cross-referencing, mail merge, indexing, financial tables, working with graphs and objects), Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe, InterAction, DOCS, and other legal software or applications.
