Intermediate Level Paralegal - Litigation
On behalf of our esteemed client; we have an exciting opportunity for a junior to intermediate level Paralegal to join our Litigation department. This position will focus on civil litigation files.
Duties & Responsibilities
■ Compile and manage litigation documents;
■ File preparation and management: including preparation of pleadings, affidavits of record, undertakings, expert documents and trial binders;
■ Attend meetings as required;
■ Communicate with and engage expert witnesses;
■ Conduct searches, carry out investigations and research through internet and other means;
■ Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals and other lawyers as required;
■ Liaise with clients on file progress as required;
■ Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Qualities & Experience Required
■ Minimum three years’ experience as a Litigation Paralegal with advanced PC Skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.);
■ Experience with Summation required;
■ Strong word processing and technical abilities required;
■ Formal Paralegal education and training from an accredited institution preferred, or a combination of formal Legal Assistant training and Paralegal experience required;
■ Extensive knowledge of legal procedures is required;
■ Strong understanding and familiarity with various litigation legal precedents and procedures
