Intermediate/Senior Law Clerk - Commercial Real Estate
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of all necessary legal documentation within the Corporate Real Estate department, including managing a heavier file load. This position receives some direction or guidance, although most tasks and objectives are accomplished independently.
Prepare and issue all documents necessary, from start to completion on all commercial real estate transactions
Drafting of agreements, contracts and financing documents
Review of leases and leasing agreements
Summarizing due dilligence
Responsible for independent file management
Manage trust accounting and reporting
Liaise with all internal and external parties involved with the proceedings, including preparation of correspondence
Review correspondence and respond
May act as a go to person for junior members of the team to provide direction and guidance
8+ years as a Law Clerk/Paralegal
Law Clerk/Paralegal or Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate
Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients needs in a professional and courteous manner
Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles, and Alberta Rules of Court
The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
Produce a high quality and quantity of work product, occasionally under tight timelines
Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary

Previous Law Firm experience along with a legal diploma is required for this position.
