Intermediate Litigation Legal Assistant - 1 Year Contract Position

In conjunction with our Top Notch clients, we are currently seeking several Litigation legal assistants who are interested in contract positions ranging from 7 months to 1 year. These positions do require current litigation experience and are located in downtown Calgary with immediate start date. Apply today as these positions fill quickly!
Responsibilities:
Type legal documents from precedents/handwritten notes and dictation
Prepare draft correspondence and documents
Prioritize workflow to ensure completion of accurate work within established deadlines
Maintain files; including daily filing, file organization, opening files, closing files, etc.
Handle telephone and mail correspondence, both incoming and outgoing
Administration duties, including time entry and bill preparation
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized legal assistant program
3+ years Legal Assistant experience in Litigation matters would be an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Impeccable proofreading, grammar skills and attention to detail
Strong computer skills
Strong organization skills
Detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
Highly motivated and personable
Able to prioritize work
Willing to take initiative
Responds to everyday tasks with little supervision
Maintains professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
Able to work both independently and in a team environment
