Our client, an agency of Ontario's provincial government, is looking for a senior project manager with 10+ years of experience in project management. This is a one year contract and the locations is at Yonge and York Mills.
ROLE OF THE PROJECT MANAGER CONSULTANT
The Project Manager(s) role (“Project Manager”) will perform project management tasks, as required to effectively execute all assigned initiatives.
The Project Manager(s) will be contracted directly to the Vice President Corporate Project Governance, or to a designate, and will be accountable for planning and management of the assigned initiatives as projects.
The Project Manager(s) shall have extensive experience either managing or providing oversight with respect to transformative projects with a degree of strategic alignment, change management, and technology deployment and delivery requirements. The successful candidates shall demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in the management of corporate level projects; will have a track record of delivering projects within scope, schedule and cost; will demonstrate experience in the application of technology to supporting business processes, in the championing of change management and interacting with different levels of management and executive roles.
Preference will be given to a corporation and/or individual whose experience in organizations includes a Government Ministry or a Government agency organization and experience with business and process governance and infrastructure support.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position(s) requires a minimum:
Education level of a University degree in business or technical related field
An enabler with at least 10 years progressive experience in Project Management, managing a variety of types and complexities of projects in a formal Project Management capacity with specific experience in planning, managing and delivering the strategic, tactical and operational initiatives within the organization
Expert knowledge and proven project management skills in accordance with best practices in Project Management Life Cycle
Solid business and planning process understanding
Excellent leadership, supervisory, organizational and analytical skills
Highly Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project, MS Visio, Lotus Notes
Effective in facilitating large group work sessions
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work effectively with all levels of staff and management including senior management and executives, and with the ability to work as part of a team
