Job Title: Subject Matter Expert
Job Type: Contract 12 months + possible extension(s)

Rate: Flexible based on experience
This government client in the healthcare sector requires a Subject Matter Expert to:
Provide expertise and knowledge to support implementation.
The SME must be familiar with the business practices of the broader health care sectors in order to meet the client's strategic direction. In addition, the SME will provide education and guidance to support the implementation. Education to new users will be provided at the clients direction and approval. The SME will be required to:
Provide support to the vendor implementing the system using knowledge of business practices associated with using the tool, including submission of data, privacy and security requirements, Consent Management, and user access policies and processes;
Review and revise education and training documentation to ensure relevant, timely updates and availability of materials to support then implementing in a project environment. Ensure changes are accurately reflected in all documentation, including reference and training materials;
Work with leads, project managers and others to support the use of industry best practices, processes and policies that are required to maintain and support incident management, problem management and privacy and security requirements;
Respond to both internal and external queries regarding the application and credentialing processes; support, review and prioritize defect and enhancement requests;
Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and third party vendors to ensure coordinated and effective communications align with the client; and
Provide input and recommendations to current and future initiatives; support other deliverables, activities and project duties as required.
Examples of deliverables include:
Review and feedback of education and training documents;
Knowledge transfer of the implementation process; and
Communication documents, presentations, reports and briefing materials.
Knowledge and experience:
Ability to translate complex clinical or technical language into plain language;
Demonstrated experience in leading training sessions in a variety of formats with a diverse audience;
Demonstrated ability to develop training materials;
Understanding of and/or experience working the broader health system;
Knowledge of general project management principles and business implementation methodologies;
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization, as well as internal and external stakeholders;
Demonstrated experience resolving conflicts and major obstacles;
Demonstrated ability working with cross-functional project teams and effectively working in a matrix environment.
