Job Details:
The candidate will work on TBSM-related projects, providing technical leadership as needed for infrastructure-related activities. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of all elements required to support desktop and server infrastructure. This will be a challenging position, with involvement in many projects in a dynamic fast paced environment. As a Technical Lead in the SSG-TBSM, you will provide technical leadership for projects requiring infrastructure solutions. This position will work closely with the TBSM unit and other ITS teams to understand the business problem and ensure that the infrastructure solution meets the business needs. The Technical Lead will rely heavily on the architecture and engineering teams to design and implement the infrastructure, and will provide technical oversight and leadership throughout the project.
The Technical Lead will be expected to:
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership on projects
- Work with other SSG and ITS teams (Architects, Facilities, Networking, etc) in project delivery and support functions
- Follow all relevant banking policies, including security, audit, etc
- Participate in incident and problem management processes as needed
Specifically, the candidate will be creating and implementing solutions dealing with the following technologies. While this is not a hands-on role, experience with these fields will be an asset.
- Unix Technologies: Linux (SUSE)
- Netware : Novell SUSE OES
- Windows: Windows Server, Active Directory
- Databases: SQL Server, DB2
- Hardware: Intel/AMD (HP, IBM)
- Storage: HDS, Brocade
Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
- College / University with emphasis on computer science and business or equivalent work experience.
- IT Industry accreditations not required, but will be considered along with experience
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Broad experience with IP networking concepts - routers, firewalls, etc
- Teamwork - strong relationships with developers and business analysts, architecture & operations
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Effective time management skills and ability to work under deadlines and operational pressures
