Job Description:
• The Quality Assurance Analyst role is to plan, design, architect, and deploy effective test suites and regimes for in-house product development, software application development, information system launches, and operations systems enhancements
• This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of IT investments and initiatives
• Coordinate a major quality assurance program at a management level
• Facilitate the implementation of new tools and techniques
• Manage formal quality assurance role in audits and milestone reviews
• Provide advice on and develop new or replacement policies
• Recommend, facilitate and promote the adoption of information systems practices, etc.
• Take appropriate action to ensure integrity/safety/public acceptance of information systems
Responsibilities:
• Scripting in HP's Performance Center - knowledge of various protocols is a must
• Gather Business requirements and translate them into script/scenario Performance Testing requirements
• Assess and communicate the technical requirements for the performance test
• Analyze requirements and provide feedback to Development and Architecture
• Prepare and document Test Strategy and Test Plan
• Design a suite of Test Scripts and Scenarios corresponding to requirements
• Configure and help with requirements for Test Environment, including test data
• Develop and execute performance test scripts and scenarios (stress, load), document the test results and findings
• Create GUI PT scripts using QTP
• Provide project deliverables relating to PT according to project schedules
• Coordinate and conduct the analysis of test results; Identify and report all testing related issues and risks
Education/Skills:
• University degree or college diploma with experience in the IT industry
• 5+ years of LoadRunner scripting experience. Lots of emphasis on complicated custom coding. (Web HTTP)
• Experience with testing Web Services
• Previous work with dynamically changing requests is an asset
• Specific experience around manipulating strings
• Specific experience around creating and managing 2 and 3 dimensional arrays in a LoadRunner script
• Experience with writing to a file in a LoadRunner script is an asset
• Experience working with large projects
• Self motivated; able to work well without supervision
Qualifications:
• Coordination - 6+ Years
• Informatics - 6+ Years
