Description of assignment (primary duties):
The data architect will be responsible for overall technical analysis and design of the data model, data mapping between systems (including data for forms), and identification of extensions. Primary activities include:
•Assisting in creating information management strategy
oIdentify import/export requirements
oArchiving requirement
oStorage requirements
oReport requirements
oPrivacy concerns/Security management
oDatabase interactions
•Assisting in developing a conversion strategy
•Extending existing data model by adding additional properties to entities or creating new entities
•Modify existing typelists or create new ones
•Assist business analysts in mapping data between systems
•Respond to data model requirements from configuration and integration teams
•Understand Enterprise Data Warehouse initiative
Skills required and competency level:
•Intermediate to Senior with 5+ years experience in databases.
•Experience with Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
•Experience with XML, Java Technologies (J2EE), Business Objects, ETL tools
•Relational data model experience
