Chief Analyst - Investments and Securities Division
 

Our client, located in Bermuda, is seeking a Chief Analyst to assist the
Investments and Securities Division in the regulation and supervision of mutual funds, mutual fund administrators and securities firms registered/licensed to operate in the Cayman Islands.

Responsibilities include:
The Chief Analyst is expected to work with minimum supervision reporting to the Head & Deputy Head of the Investments and Securities Division and will have overall responsibility within a team environment, for the supervision of senior analysts and
analysts.
Duties will involve leadership and direction in the conduct of on-site inspections of mutual fund administrators and securities firms, as well as off-site monitoring of
these institutions, in order to ensure that they are financially sound and operating in a prudent manner in accordance with the law and regulatory guidelines. The role will
also involve the ongoing review and development of current analysis techniques in order to strengthen the understanding and assessment of the various risks faced by regulated institutions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will be a graduate with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Accounting or Finance who possesses a minimum of seven years experience in fund administration, securities, risk management or audit.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess a professional designation in accounting or financial analysis.
The candidate must possess an in depth understanding of mutual funds, risk
management and the financial industry including emerging industry developments.
They should also have a good working knowledge of the relevant regulatory laws, rules, statements of principle and guidance. Strong team management skills and experience are essential.
The candidate should be a highly motivated individual with a proven ability to communicate at all levels within an organization and with a large cross-section of local and foreign representatives of the financial industry. Good interpersonal skills are essential.

Compensation:
Compensation package includes income tax free salary of US$85,000-$105,000, pension contribution, health insurance, life and AD&D coverage, vacation, training & development opportunities.
