Our client, one of the world’s largest captive managers, is looking to fill a manager position in captive services in their Bermuda office. This position will allow the successful candidate to gain valuable international experience in one of the world’s largest financial centres. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Report directly to the Senior Vice President
• Accounting and supervision of captive and rent-a-captive insurance companies under management.
• Additional ad hoc projects will be assigned as required and there is potential for the role to expand considerably for the right candidate.
• Assist SVP in monthly, quarterly and annual supervision and review of captive accounts
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure that accounts are in compliance with client procedures and Bermuda regulations
• Coordinate audits, actuarial analyses and annual Board meetings as necessary
• Help train staff with a view to increasing quality of interaction with clients for all captive matters

Your Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and professional accounting designation (ACA, CA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian GAAP, especially as it related to captives and insurance operations
• Captive insurance and/or (re)insurance experience
• Ability to work to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision
• Experience with Bermuda statutory accounting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
• IFRS training an asset
Compensation package includes:
• Income tax free salary of US$90,000+ depending on experience.
