We have an opening for a self motivated SQA Analyst to join the company's Software Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing our software applications and collaborating with other team members in test planning. As a SQA analyst, you will help design test cases to find inconsistencies in our product line along with working hand-in-hand with other team members to describe the risks and impacts these inconsistencies will have on customer experience. You have a sense of curiosity and skepticism and know how to diplomatically share your view points with others.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Analysis of project/feature documents (software specifications, requirement documents, feature descriptions) to detect issues prior to implementation in code
• Design test cases and scenarios for both functional and non-functional requirements
• Verification and validation of requirements, usability and suitability to task
• Investigation, reporting and retesting of issues
• Tracking and reporting of test progress
• Demonstrate proficiency in the process, methodology and tools that the SQA team has implemented
• Become proficient with the product(s) and associated functionality to which he/she has been assigned
• Participation in collaborative team problem solving sessions
• Peer review of written test cases
• Demonstrates continuous expanded knowledge of the processes, product and environment
• Actively provides recommendation on SQA Process and methodology improvements

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree, Technical Diploma or related experience with software testing
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance with exposure to manual and scripted testing of web applications
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and improve existing sets of test cases and scenarios
• Demonstrated ability to create new sets of test cases and scenarios
• Computer hardware/software troubleshooting experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with databases and SQL queries
• Familiar with Test Track or other Defect Tracking System
• Expert knowledge of IE and Firefox (Safari an asset)
• Expert knowledge of Windows Client operating systems
• Basic knowledge of/familiarity with HTML/XML
• Conceptual familiarity with AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and other web technologies
• Familiarity with Realtors and Real Estate marketing and In-depth knowledge of Top Producer Products considered an asset
• Must be capable and available to work on-site night shifts as required
