TRIUMF is Canada’s national research laboratory for particle and nuclear physics. We currently have positions available within our machine shop for two Manual Machinists with experience on all machine shop related equipment including lathes, milling machines and grinders. The successful applicants will join our existing team of skilled journeymen machinists who are involved in the manufacture, fabrication and repair of custom components associated with experimental equipment and accelerators.
If you are fully competent and versatile operating the above mentioned machines and other related machine shop equipment and have good practical knowledge of precision machine shop fabrication techniques, you will want to explore this opportunity. If you have a tool and die or aircraft machining background, this will be a definite asset. In addition to the technical qualifications, all applicants must have good interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate in a team environment.
