Teach English Over the Phone
YES Youngdo Education Corporation is one of the largest and most established English schools in Korea. The 19 Campuses in Seoul, the greater Seoul area, and Busan offer English lessons to students of ages 8-17. YES Youngdo operates a telephone teaching program which reinforces students' listening and speaking skills. In February 2008, YES Youngdo opened a recruiting and training office in downtown Toronto, Canada.
YES Youngdo Phone English Program offers part-time positions to Canadian teachers to teach students in Korea over the phone. Teachers will be trained at the YES Youngdo Canada office in Toronto, and teach with YES Youngdo's curriculum.
Qualification:
1. Native English speaker
2. University students or graduates
3. Creative, responsible, punctual, positive, & friendly
Pay:
$2.7 per 10 minutes
If you have a full schedule, the pay will be $16.2 per hour.
Working Conditions:
1. Work at home after getting training
2. Working hours: choose at least 2 hours between 6:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time
During the summer (daylight saving), the time will change to 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
3. Teaching time per student: 10 minutes if M-F, or MWF
15 minutes if TTh
4. Teaching materials available (refundable deposit required)
5. Internet phone and router available (refundable deposit required)
6. Training and workshop before starting
7. Age of students: elementary students to adults
8. Contract term: at least 6 months
9. Attend regular workshops to improve teaching skills
