As you may know, currently I am a second year Honours BBA co-op student at Wilfrid Laurier University and have great ambitions for future in terms of career development. Already, I have gained vital practical experience in both accounting and finance areas of business. Throughout this process, I have also maintained a great balance between extra-curricular/volunteer, work and academic achievements to see the whole spectrum of activities and to gain valuable experience. I must say that I have a strong passion for success, a potential to become tomorrow’s leader and a continuous motivation to shine in analyzing production, margin and spending variances, flow charting accounting processes, etc. Consequently, what makes me distinct from others is my ability to face new challenges with full confidence and commitment. Whether it means learning about new software or gaining additional knowledge, I am always prepared to move up to the next level to gain trust and positive feedback from my superior. For example, while working as an Accounting Analyst, I was responsible performing A/R and A/P duties. However, through hard work and dedication, I was able to surpass the initial expectations and also learned to fill personal income tax returns, GST/PST remittances and payroll. I also learned to use software such as Profile, Quick Books and Simply Accounting, etc. Similarly, as VP of Finance for WRYC, I was a key player in strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, effectively utilizing resources to achieve organizational goals.
