Dear Hiring Manager: I am a mechanical engineer with experience in R&D, engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management and business in a general sense. I am a detailed oriented, yet big-picture thinking, hands-on manager with a focus on continuous improvement. I am task oriented but very much a team player and considerate of others. As a Project Engineer, I have also directly supported Manufacturing, Purchasing (suppliers), Customer Support and Marketing departments. I have worked with certification authorities in various countries. I have simultaneously managed a number programs ranging from hundreds of thousands to many millions of dollars. I have worked both with small companies and for a large multi-national company. As an Operations start-up manager, I was responsible to ensure the smooth transition into production of newly developed products and components from engineering. This position involved a great deal of coordination with engineering, manufacturing units, suppliers of raw materials and finished parts, as well as, manipulations of the MRP system to ensure visibility to all concerned. I have been working as a private management consultant for the last 8 years. I am now winding-down my role as senior administrator for a start-up company for a new concept (i.e. product) in the field of Intellectual Property. I am proficient with MS-Office.
