My name is Alan Freckelton, a lawyer from Canberra, Australia. My family and I have decided that a move to Canada would be ideal, for a variety of reasons. I am a lawyer admitted in NSW, Australia with experience in both the public service and private practice, and am very interested to see what is on offer in Canada. On 20 February 2009 I received a letter from the National Committee on Accreditation, informing me that I will be granted a Certificate of Qualification on the conditions that I pass examinations in Administrative, Constitutional and Evidence law. I sat these exams between 18 and 24 August 2009 (in Australia), and was notified that I passed all subjects on 20 November. I will be sent my Certificate of Qualification shortly. I will now be available for work as soon as I can organise the move!
