I am now interested to seek career opportunities abroad in the field of auditing. I am 24 years old, single and in good health. I finished Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the Occidental Mindoro National College in 2004, With Distinction and the Best in Accounting Awardee. I passed the Philippine CPA Licensure examination in October of the same year with an average rating of 84.57%. I joined the public practice in January 2005 at Alba Romeo & Co., a member firm of BDO International as junior associate auditor and was promoted as Senior Associate in September of 2006. As a senior associate, I am responsible for directing junior associates in their work, review of audit working papers and audit reports, monitoring effectiveness and efficiency of audit and discussion of report and results with the client. In my three audit season with BDO Alba Romeo and Company, I handled several financial statement audits of financial institutions such as pre-need companies (benefit Plan Company), banks, investment houses, savings and loans association and financing and lending companies. I also have exposures on the audit of schools, trading, call center and non-stock, not for profit organization. I have attended various trainings and seminars in accounting and auditing. I was part of the PFRS Core team of BDO Alba Romeo & Co. and was assigned to discuss PAS 19- Employee Benefits. And in 2006, I was part of the team that test on the effectiveness of the client’s internal control over financial reporting in order to issue an attestation report on the client’s assessment of its internal control over financing reporting in compliance with Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX 404). Currently I am employed as General Accountant at GXS Philippines Inc. as general accountant, I am responsible for the preparation of account reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts.
