I wish to explore relevant employment opportunities in medical/scientific communications based in Canada, where I intend to permanently relocate. This is primarily since I have always gravitated towards this aspect of my work and also as I seek to move away from an academic research based environment into one that provides a customer orientated product. I have recently been employed as a freelance medical writer for a biopharmaceutical company. Moreover, I have developed a broad range of transferable skills pertinent to medical/scientific writing through my varied research career. Adaptability, self-reliance and teamwork are evident in the breadth of research undertaken and the variety of people worked with, both coordinating the efforts of technical staff, and in planning with senior staff.
