I held the position of Engineering Manager for the last 14 years. In this role I gained invaluable experience successfully taking care of all the technical & mechanical aspects of the plants in Tillsonburg. These facilities produced as many as 25,000 HR/AR per day and 40,000 seat cushions per day, operating 24hrs with as many as 600 employees at its peak. My responsibilities included looking after the maintenance and upgrading of all production equipment in a JIT environment. Developing and planning the annual capital expenditures and cost reduction plans. Justifying and preparing the Capital Appropriations Request and implementing the projects once approved. Additionally, I was responsible for the maintenance of the facilities and grounds. Over the years I have supervised as many as 33 employees. More recently, I was supervising and mentoring 20 employees. I have developed an good ability to prioritize work and effectively balance multiple and conflicting demands and this helps in establishing the appropriate sense of urgency. I have strong problem solving abilities. Utilizing my Industrial Engineering and Tool making experience has helped me develop a practical ability to identify and implement productivity improvements and cost reductions, I am a competent, self starting, results oriented individual. At this point in my career I would consider positions of Manufacturing or Operations Manager, where I can capitalize on my manufacturing experience, as well as considering Engineering Managerial positions.
