Having garnered professional experience in excess of three years in sales management, in excess of two years in store management and in excess of four years experience in national security related projects to include; surveillance techniques, intelligence gathering, investigation, profiling, counter terrorism activities, air and sea port safety and security, I am of the belief that I possess the requisite qualifications that may be an asset to your organization. I am presently employed as a Sales Manager with Sportmart and was formerly employed as a Director within the Security, Intelligence and Operations Division of the Ministry of National Security, with specific responsibilities for Narcotics, Ports and Tourism Security, undertaking a number of projects and programs during this period, to include audits, investigations, emergency preparedness and surveillance. Specifically, I was mandated to provide security audits and assessments of airports/aerodromes and seaports to include the secure movement of contraband free cargo, examine the security and safety systems in place for air and shipping lines transporting in and out of the country, identify areas of deficiency and recommend ways in which these security systems could be improved. It was also a part or my mandate to verify the authenticity of all dangerous cargo being transported by air and through the country’s territorial waters, granting or denying access to local ports based on confirmation of cargo’s legitimacy. Also, mock emergency scenarios had to be consistently carried out with various stakeholders and Committees established to address these scenarios, as it was very essential to ensure that the various stakeholders in the area of national security and emergency management were compliant in accordance with local legislation.
