Responsibility of the Systems Administrator (Sys Admin) is to ensure the operation of computer systems, hardware and networks for internal and external clients as well as the design of complex system architectures. May supervise other Systems Administrators. Design and implement Disaster Recover Plan and prepare documentation. Responsibilities: Responsible for the following functions: · Installs, configures and maintains the organization's servers as well as network hardware and software components. · Manages and supports the production hardware and network on a 7/24 basis, troubleshooting technical problems as they arise. · Monitors system logs and activity on all servers and devices. · Troubleshoots technical problems. · Validates and evaluates third party software. · Implements and manages system security. · Develops technical specifications from requirements. · Acts as the day-to-day organizational interface with software and hardware vendors. · Performs Systems Administrator activities in accordance with the defined procedures. · Designs and documents complex hardware architectures and technical specifications. · Designs server- and network-level security and access control. · Plans, performs and documents installation qualifications. · Designs, creates and maintains Systems Administration procedures and work instructions according to established guidelines.
