EXPERIENCE: One year and six months experience as a Microbiologist at MNC ‘THE UB GROUP’ United Breweries Limited, Ludhiana (Head office Bangalore) India. AREA OF EXPERTISE: 1 Yeast handling and propagation from lab to plant scale under aseptic conditions. 2 Keeping track of growth and activity free from infections and feed back information to Head Brewer. Keeping records of the yeast propagation and viability, morphology of pitching yeast, yeast solids determination. 3 Maintaining hygienic conditions in plant and 100 % sterility of Fermentation Vessels, CST’s, Lager Tanks and Bright Beer Tank of plant. 4 Chemical testing and complete microbiological analysis of different type of water (raw water, process water & soft water) used for the production. 5 Checking and monitoring Waste Water Treatment Plant/Effluent Treatment Plant operation efficiency. Reduce BOD/COD by removing trubs/yeast. 6 Various microbiological, chemical and physical analysis of incoming material; raw materials, packaging materials, process additives and process chemicals for effective brewing & bottling to achieve monthly/yearly budget. 7 All Microbiological and Chemical analysis associated with the semi and finished product within specifications laid down in quality manual. 8 Analysis of unpasteurized Beer, Bottled Beer (sterility testing), environment exposures, swabs & rinse of various areas. 9 Improving product quality & consistencies by ensuring critical parameters are closer to target values; by keeping informed all about microbiological analysis and in process checks for further corrective and preventive action to achieve smooth process control. Review and analyze data for further improvement. 10 Maintenance of hard copy records.
