Having recently qualified for a permanent resident visa to live and work in Canada, I am currently looking for long-term employment, preferably in Alberta or British Columbia, ahead of permanent relocation. I am currently employed as Managing Editor of a technical publishing company in the UK, with overall responsibility for each of its technical/industry publications. I have extensive experience of all aspects of the editorial (print and online) process, from research to writing through to production, with senior roles on several publications in various industries. In addition to my journalistic career, I am also a trained manufacturing engineer with much hands-on experience of production processes and have held a number of key positions within companies in the UK and overseas. Lastly, I also have experience in managing people, products, departments, processes, projects, budgets and schedules, as well as training and tuition. I am therefore looking for either an editorial/journalism, manufacturing/production or general management position to which I could apply my skills and experience as the foundation of my long-term future in Canada.
