I am looking for a post-doctoral position, or research position requiring a strong background in organic chemistry, synthesis and technologies, sonochemistry, practical application of ultrasound in chemistry, and general use of ultrasounds in wastewater treatment, conversion of vegetal oil into bio-diesel by ultrasonic irradiation. Instrumentation: I am familiar with the use of HPLC; GC; GC-MS; TLC; NMR. I operated for one year a 400mHz Bruker NMR station, located in The National Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance, Bucharest Romania. In the last 3 years, I worked as a PhD student at Osaka Prefecture University, located in Osaka, Japan. Some of my responsibilities included the operation of different analytical instruments such as: Shimadzu Q2010 GC-MS workstation, I used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of fatty acids methyl esters present in biodiesel fuel. I also operated the HP 6980 GC, for the analysis of the impurities in biodiesel fuel, as recommended by ASTM methods. On Shimadzu HPLC 10A I performed reverse phase chromatography. Laboratory skills: I am looking for a position either academic or industry, in organic chemistry research especially involving the practical use of ultrasounds engaged in: -wastewater treatment, -the use of biomass to produce biofuels, namely biodiesel.
