    The Pacific National Exhibition is an iconic institution in BC, famous for bringing generations of people together to celebrate and build memories. This 108 year old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of $48 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams: the 15 day annual summer Fair which averages 800,000 guests each year, Playland amusement park which welcomes 375,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, year-round events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance.     As part of the Sales & Marketing Team, the Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships has the responsibility for implementing an aggressive sponsorship sales strategy with corporations and agencies clients to create and establish organizational partnerships and event sponsorships. Strong emphasis will be placed on managing major corporate accounts to ensure deliverables are met, while building and renewing corporate sponsor pool.

    What will you do this year?
    In conjunction with the full partnership team, the duties for this position include but are not limited to: sponsorship strategy, activation, service, fulfillment, communication, and execution of all elements of every partnership agreement. This position is also responsible for upsell in contract and renewal post contract for accounts managed. Following is a list of specific responsibilities:

    •New corporate partnership acquisition, management of existing corporate partnerships and agency relationship
    •Secure and manage experiential activation tour opportunities
    •Develops partnership proposals based on opportunity and interests
    •Negotiate sponsor benefits and facilitates contracts
    •Responsible for meeting annual corporate partnership goals
    •Works closely with appropriate internal staff and corporate partner/sponsor to outline expectations, communication plan, and timeline for partnership fulfillment and logistics
    •Manages corporate partnerships and relationships onsite, ensuring fulfillment of sponsor obligations and cultivating and stewarding relationships as appropriate
    •Utilizes standardized business processes, policies, guidelines, and tools to manage corporate partners relationships

    What else?
    •Must have 3 years of progressive sales experience
    •Diploma, Certificate or degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education & experience
    •Must have experience with cold calls, prospecting and discovery
    •Must have 2 years of partnership experience (can be in a supportive role)
    •Experience in the events industry is considered an asset
    •Ability to understand and represent another company’s brand at the PNE while balancing PNE objectives
    •Strong written & verbal skills with very strong attention to detail
    •Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check
