    The right person for this role will need to be up for the challenge of ensuring all day-to-day bookkeeping is maintained with a little bit of cleanup to get everything up to date.

    The Role:
    As the bookkeeper, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in strengthening a strong and positive culture within the office. In addition to handling all aspects of bookkeeping, you will be responsible for managing the Human Resources administrative duties, such as onboarding new staff and keeping employee records updated as well as assist the General Manager in overseeing additional administrative staff.

    Daily responsibilities include:
    Full cycle bookkeeping including; accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank and credit card reconciliations, government remittances, cash flow management, year-end preparations.
    Clerical duties including filing, typing, receiving and distributing confidential business correspondence
    Manages all aspects of the employee benefit program and ensures employee information is up-to-date
    Responsible for guiding and assisting other staff
    Responsible for creating and implementing bookkeeping and administrative procedures within different departments
    Assist our reception team with answering phones and walk in customers

    Your Skills & Experience:

    Must have minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience in a busy office setting
    Must have experience working with Sage 50 or Simply Accounting
    Must have minimum of 1 - 3 years human resources experience
    A bookkeeping or accounting education background is preferred
    Demonstrated self-starter
    Excellent interpersonal skills
    Demonstrated experience working in a customer service role and having an excellent demeanor with clients
    Strong proficiency using MS Office
    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
