    Position: Compensation Analyst (HR)
    Location: Ottawa
    Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year
    Job Type: 1-year contract (Maternity leave replacement)
    Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. (overtime when required)

    We are looking for an analytical professional with excellent project management, organizational, and follow-up skills, and an ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

    Job Duties:

    - Develop and manage the global corporate compensation and benefits budget and forecasts and prepare monthly variance analyses
    - Manage and support global compensation administration activities
    - Review and provide oversight of staff complement and monitor compliance with budgeted full-time equivalent and headcounts
    - Compile information and statistics and conduct ad-hoc analyses
    - Provide input on the design, development, and management of the corporate compensation and job evaluation policies and programs
    - Evaluate positions based on job description information and system guidelines
    - Create salary work-ups for candidates being considered for hire and prepare recommendations for level and salary based on the candidate’s experience, current compensation, and internal equity

    Mandatory Requirements:

    - A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience as a Human Resources Analyst, with a compensation and HRIS focus
    - University degree ideally in business or human resources – CHRP, CCP, or another related HR designation would be beneficial
    - Solid knowledge of human resources practices, including knowledge of compensation, job evaluation, and benefits concepts and tools
    - Experience working with HRIS systems
    - Knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting tools
    - Knowledge of HR processes and data, and their integration across HR
    - Solid analytical experience, facility working with numbers, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
    - In-depth understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular proven advanced Excel skills

    The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and have a valid OR be able to obtain an Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
