This 108 year old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of $54 million dollars and generates revenue through three activity streams: the 15 day annual summer Fair which averages 750,000 guests each year, Playland amusement park which welcomes 375,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, year-round events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events.     We are seeking an organized and hardworking individual that has a passion for the Events Industry and the Pacific National Exhibition. The Food & Beverage Entry Clerk will work under the direction of the Food & Beverage Inventory Clerical Supervisor general administration and clerical support for the PNE Food & Beverage department. They will work in compliance with all health and safety requirements as determined by WorkSafeBC, and all other applicable legislation and company policies.

    What will you do this year?
    In your role as a Food & Beverage Clerk, your primary accountabilities will be to:
    Provide clerical services including word processing, spreadsheets, filing and mail distribution.
    Data entry for Food & Beverage sales and issuing inventory.
    Answer main Food and Beverage telephone line and answering inquiries, directing calls and taking messages.
    Assist with employee scheduling tracking through data entry of employee start time information for department payroll purposes.
    Assist with hiring and processing new hire paperwork as needed.
    Assist in the efficient operation of administrative functions of the Food & Beverage department.
    Ensure PNE Uniform and Appearance policy is adhered to at all times.
    Perform other related duties as required

    What else?
    Must have successful completion of Grade 12.
    Previous work experience in an administrative capacity preferred.
    1-2 years of customer service experience in a high volume setting considered an asset.
    Excellent administrative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
    Ability to deal with confidential matters and use good judgement when making decisions
    Superior time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
    Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
    Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment, independently and as part of a team.
    Knowledge of Food and Beverage operations considered an asset.
