    Empire Supermarket is a full size supermarket located at #111-4600 No.3 Road, Empire Centre Square, Richmond, BC. You will find in our clean, neat and orderly supermarket the essentials of top grade/fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry, live seafood and local as well as imported Asian food and seasoning. As our Supermarket continues to grow, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to fill out vacancy. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, controlling and managing the overall supply chain of the company.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    Serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory control related issues and processes
    Supervise and manage inventory counts, researches, discrepancies and ensure timely adjustments
    Generate regular (daily, weekly and monthly) inventory reports regarding inventory status and adjustments
    Monitor expiring materials on a periodic basis and implement procedures for effective management
    Establish and improve mechanisms to ensure that the inventory control department delivers the required products in a timely, cost effective and quality manner to both internal and external customers
    Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize picking and put away processes
    Manage inventory replenishment and analyze changes to inventory levels and keep management updated
    Recruit, train, supervise team members and conduct regular performance review as needed
    Develop, implement, update, and monitor all new and existing procedures and guidelines for inventory processes involved in the handling of inventory and ensure accuracy and quality

    Job Requirements:

    A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field is required
    5 years’ work experience in a job-related field and knowledge/experience in supply chain, inventory control, warehouse management, shipping & receiving and/or purchasing
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally with customers, suppliers, carriers, vendors, management and other employees
    Must demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy and effective negotiation skills
    Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks and projects with accuracy and attention to detail and follow through
    Proficient knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including working knowledge of bar coding.
