    Whistler Vacation Club at Twin Peaks is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, who is dynamic, extraverted and will hit the ground running. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Whistler, British Columbia.

    This multi faceted person will provide leadership to an operations team working closely with the Executive Director to forge the path for our vacation Clubs in Whistler. Creative management is a must, keenness to add a new dimension to this exciting position will determine your success. For this role, you must be living in, or be prepared to commute daily to Whistler.

    Job duties and Responsibilities:
    In this role you will perform tasks such as:
    • Manage an operations team of 20 staff in the day to day operations of multiple boutique vacation properties;
    • Hire and oversee training of staff;
    • Improve the operational syste**, processes and policies;
    • Play a significant role in long-term planning; including creating initiatives for revenue strea**;
    • Regular meetings with the General Manager/executive director;
    • Oversee the management of outside contractors;
    • Be on call for emergencies;
    • Plan and manage operational budgets;
    • Oversee management of the Front Desk, Housekeeping and Maintenance Tea**;
    • Propose new ideas to improve owner/member relations;
    • Manage and control inventory and logistics;
    • Take an active role in short and long-term organizational planning;
    • Communicate with owners and vendors;
    • Service existing owner base and respond to owner inquiries;
    • Front Desk support to provide owner information, accuracy with reservations and owner accounts is key.

    Qualifications:
    • Diploma or Degree in a related field or 3+ years experience in a similar role is required;
    • A Class 5 Drivers license and clean driver’s abstract are usually required;
    • Previous hospitality and property management experience is required;
    • Previous hotel experience an considered an asset.

    Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Owner-centric attitude while balancing the operational needs of the resort;
    • Strong leadership required;
    • Ability to understand monthly financial statements;
    • Ability to contribute to the draft of annual budgets
    • Ability to share the vision and motivate the team;
    • Strong customer service skills;
    • Ability to build strong relationships with staff, owners and vendors;
    • Innovative problem solver;
    • Strong attention to detail and follow through;
    • Computer and tech savvy.

    Wage: $40 per hour with 4% vacation accrued and a full ski pass.
