The Pacific National Exhibition is an iconic institution in BC, famous for bringing generations of people together to celebrate and build memories. This 108 year old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of $48 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams: the 15 day annual summer Fair which averages 800,000 guests each year, Playland amusement park which welcomes 375,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, year-round events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance. The PNE is proud of the work it does at Hastings Park and has a vibrant team that is passionate about events, guest experience and being the best we can be.
We are looking for passionate individual with great leadership skills to join our PNE Gaming Department. The PNE’s Gaming Department oversees all gaming functions at the PNE, including PNE Prize Home Lottery, 50/50 Draw, and Wheel of Fortune Games. As the Prize Home Coordinator will report to the Gaming Manager and Gaming Coordinator and oversee all aspects of the PNE Prize Home. What will you do this year?
In your role as a Prize Home Coordinator, your primary accountabilities will be to:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the PNE's Prize Home tours during the annual Fair.
Assist in overseeing operational aspects of the Prize Home and media events.
Compile necessary material to create a detailed manual of the Prize Home features.
Train hosts about house features and how to present themselves to guests.
Motivate staff and develop an incentive program.
Complete necessary paperwork for hiring, payroll, uniforms, IDs etc.
Schedule, supervise and evaluate performance of the Prize Home hosts.
Perform other duties as required.

Flexible work environment
Successful completion of Grade 12 required.
Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
Possess strong writing skills.
Must be energetic, self-motivated, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders while managing a diverse workload.
Previous experience in supervising, motivating, and leading staff.
Proficient with computer programs (Excel and Word).
Previous experience with the PNE Fair is an asset.
Candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check.
