    Positions: Technical Service Representatives (1 bilingual and 1 unilingual positions available)
    Location: Ottawa Downtown and East-End
    Salary: $17.35 per hour
    Type: Full-time, temporary (1-year contract with possibility of extension)
    Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.


    Our very important client in the private industry is looking for a Technical Service Representative!

    A Technical Service Representative (TSR) is accountable for servicing and repairing a variety of products and performing additional duties, as required.

    The role’s responsibilities typically involve the installations and routine maintenance on small desktop and convenience copiers, printers, and MFDs within a specified location.

    Job Duties:

    - Use basic information about the customer to anticipate needs
    - Communicate clearly and confidently with the customer, both in written and orally
    - Provide customer training on assigned products in accordance with current field procedures
    - Perform a full range of maintenance on small desktop/convenience copiers, printers, and MFDs, including technical diagnostics, software loads, print driver installations, network installations, and removals
    - Retrofit and give customer call assistance
    - Correct service problems within the assigned products with some assistance, as required
    - Possess a valid full driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record as determined by Xerox – requires sufficient insurance coverage for use of personal vehicle while on company business, as required (All expenses will be reimbursed/paid for travel)
    - Ability to obtain a Security Clearance if selected – a criminal background check will be required

    Mandatory Requirements:

    - At least a high school diploma/GED (classes and experience with computers, electronics, mechanics, etc. is desired)
    - 1 to 3 years of experience as a Customer Service Engineer in an on-site break-fix role
    - Solid understanding of electromechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot to the component level using diagnostic processes and test equipment
    - Proven previous customer facing technical competence
    - Ability to pass a color test, as required
    - Ability to work unsupervised and travel to support surrounding geographies, as required
    - Demonstrated Windows and Network Connectivity competency
    - MS Office experience
    - Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs on a regular basis


    - CompTIA – A+/PDI – preferred
    - College diploma/associate degree (technical field) or equivalent certification with less than 1 year working experience – preferred
    - Bilingualism in English and French * You would be required to visit offices throughout Ottawa (Mainly downtown Ottawa and Ottawa East)
