    HRHorizons is a full service management consulting firm which assists organizations in managing their Human Resources. We are currently assisting an organization prepare for anticipated growth in the transportation industry. As we look forward we see an anticipated need to fill a number functions within the organization which of course requires talent! So rather than this being a search to fill a specific position it is a search for talent to meet the need to fulfil functions.

    There are a variety of functions that may need to be tended to during a growth period which may not equate to specified positions. The group of functions could include Load Planning, Dispatching, General Operations, Maintenance Administration/Planning and General Office assignments. Persons hired in this capacity will be required to engage in the various functions as needs arise to provide support and or leadership as they execute on the responsibilities of the assignments. Throughout a week one might move from dispatch to load planning to assisting with maintenance issues as the need might dictate. Therefore a generalist approach is a part of the mindset in this case.
    What you bring
    You will have previous experience in the trucking industry with an exposure to many aspects of the business. Being moved from one function to another in a fast paced environment is seen more as a challenge than an inconvenience to you and despite the need to adjust priorities you maintain composure. Your attention to detail will be well developed in that you can focus and concentrate on the individual steps throughout the delivery stream, completing each to point of closure. Additionally you will have the ability to shift from a state of concentration to problem solver immediately, as need arises, at any point in the delivery of service. Your success at this position will depend on your general ability to be mature and professional in your dealings with others, your well honed communication skills, both oral and written, your ability to capture the picture in a broad perspective, then bring your ability to plan, adjust and execute, to bear on the progression of tasks that are a part of the delivery stream. You will play your position well to contribute to the teams success while being seen as a good team player.
    Some other things that you will need
    A class 5 drivers licence
    Working knowledge of MS Office but specifically Word and XL
