    We’re looking for someone who has a passion for the warehousing industry, working both in and out of the office. This is a dynamic role that encompasses some of the receiving duties of a busy warehouse, along with managing the day to day duties of general bookkeeping (using Quickbooks, of course!).

    Our client, one of the leading providers of warehouse space in Kelowna is also extremely community minded, and participates in lots of activities in the community helping different charitable organizations, sports teams, and others. They believe that it is their responsibility to “give back” to the community, and take it seriously. They have a small team that works on site daily, and are looking to add the newest member of their team in this part time role.

    As the next Receiver/Bookkeeper, you will be receiving some of the shipments on a day to day basis, as well as maintaining the day to day bookkeeping of the operations. This is a key role in the business, and could be ideal for someone who is looking to work part time during the day, possibly while the family is at school.

    This Part-Time role is a 1-year contract for approx. 25 hours per week, and can be between the hours of 8am and 1pm daily. Although for the right candidate, the schedule may be adjusted to suit.

    The Role:
    Located in Kelowna
    PART-TIME, 1 year contract (approx. 20 hours per week), 9am-1pm Mon to Fri (Work hours can be negotiable)
    Record and enter information into Quickbooks
    Payables
    Prepare client invoices, process payments
    Bank deposit runs
    Track company expenses (CC etc…)
    Keep track of inventory (weekly and monthly as needed), using company spreadsheets
    Prepare contracts for clients on an as needed basis
    Assemble and prepare client orders on a daily basis
    Prepare outgoing packages (assemble shipment, waybills, etc…), coordinate with shipper (UPS etc..) for pickup
    Receive and fulfill client orders on a daily basis
    Maintain inventory of general office supplies
    General reception and administrative duties

    Your Skills & Experience:

    MUST HAVE: Solid understanding and experience with Quickbooks Online (min 3-5 years)
    MUST HAVE: Previous experience in a shipping/receiving role (1-2 years)
    Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
    Strong organization skills
    Excellent people and communication skills.
